Beautiful knives, very sharp. I just wish the holder matched the Material walnut knife block I have. They are also a little loose in the holder, a little awkward. But the knives are perfect.

I still use my 30-year old knives that work well, but this block -- to replace my 90s maple clunky block -- has absolutely leveled up my workspace. My architect husband, who cooks zero, said "Wow that's gorgeous." I have the dark one and it's already super functional too. LOVE.

I was hoping the edge would be silicone-covered but firm, but it's quite soft on the edge. It will work fine for most things of course, but probably not for scraping up those sticky bits.
