Nice colors, good weight, dishwasher safe, easy on knives... Everything I could ask for in a cutting board.

Absolutely love The Iconics. I kept looking at them and coming back to them. I finally broke down and bought the package. I also purchased the walnut cutting board. So very happy with the quality and looks. Highly recommended.

This cutting board works very well, it is a good size and it seems to be less hard on my knives. Love the color selection and that I am doing something to help the environment. Attractively packaged and arrived quickly as well.

My girlfriend and I are obsessed with these! Each piece is beautifully designed and functions perfectly and the whole unit looks great on our counter. We were particularly impressed with the knives... the first thing I used the chefs knife for was cleaning fat off some steaks... it cut through even gristle like a heated knife through butter. The latching/locking mechanism on the tongs are really cool and clever once you get the hang of it!

Hearing about The Material Kitchen, I did some product research and, 4 months later, ordered the set for my birthday. It was well worth the wait. As a young home chef, I have used my fair share of cooking tools, and these are some of the best. The knives are well balanced and moderately heavy. They will not flex like others, for good or bad, but they are very damage resistant, I've already dropped the 8 inch, no damage. The six other tools are likewise great. The flat ended slotted spoon pairs well with the smaller full spoon for serving and cooking. The dual sided wooden spoon is excellent on stainless and cast iron alike. The spatula is sturdy and sizable and the tongs store as well as they work. I have not tried the whisk yet, but I can tell it will work, and clean, better then anything I have every used. There are some tools that could be offered to 'complete' the set more, but that a) goes against their business model b) is not terribly important as they are small, niche tools; grater, peeler, etc., c) doesn't matter because there is space in The Stand for those extra tools. On to the negatives. There is a small scratch on the 8 inch knife, I am fairly certain from sliding it in and out of the, extremely convenient, magnetic stand, though it could be from something else. Also, some personal notes: 1) I wish The Tongs opened a bit more and were a bit longer, 2) The Blue-Gray color is a more Pale-Blue than I thought, 3) I wish they offered genuine wood handles. Other than that, I am loving this set. It came in a big, well packaged box, made the environmentalist in me a little unhappy, but I quickly got over it. It may not be the MOST elegant or versatile, but it is a rugged, economic set that can do 80% of anything I, a fairly seasoned chef, haha, want to do in the kitchen. Full review, out of ten 10 - Value for the cost 8 - Versatility of the tools (Does 1 job great or 2 jobs well) 7 - Completeness of the set (ie. contains 70% of a full kitchen layout) 8 - Product Care (design, material selection, packaging) 8 - Elegance of the set (looks good and simple)

Bought it for our RV. Perfect size for limited counter space and to squirrel away when traveling.

Thrilled to be getting a stylish cutting board, in a great color, but most importantly made from recycled plastic! So important - and you would think easier to find than it is! Thank you Eunice and Dave for making this great product happen. Guilt-free plastic. :)

High quality knives at a much better price point than traditional brands

Got my parents these knvies for their 30th anniversary. It was an AMAZING gift! The Knives are top-grade for reasonable price. Can't wait to explore Matierals other offerings.
