  I am extremely frustrated with the service provided by GOV . Despite following all their instructions, I sent my old passport hoping that this service would simplify the process. However, it has been six long months and I am yet to receive my passport. I reached out to GOV for help, but unfortunately, they were unable to provide me with any assistance or compensation for the inconvenience caused.

  So far, so good. Completed a social security card renewal and I am waiting for approval and next steps. Also started the process for a first time Passport. Got to the photo part, and guess what!? I can take a photo from my phone! Has been extremely easy. Just have to make sure I look presently first, then I will take the photo.

  The only negative issue I had was getting a photo from my cellphone that was acceptable to the GovPlus software. I did eventually succeed, but that was only after many tries.

  Gov was so easy to navigate! I was able to get several things done on this website without having to leave the house. I was able to upload a picture for my passport renewal instead of having to go somewhere to get pictures made. A great experience!!

  It didn’t take me long to figure out that had been scammed. In fact, I would have given a great review after I completed the appication. I might even have done so. After reading about how the TSA Pre-Check process is supposed to work, I knew I had been scammed out of $97.00. I immediately let my credit card company about this, and the charge has been dosputed and is pending investigation. But, my biggest concern is having stupidity given out personal information! These folks are good. They have sent me emails asking if I wanted to schedule an interview, which is not even mentioned in their application process. I have received voicemails from a representative wanting to follow-up after reading another review I wrote. I am curious to know if any of the people writing glowing recommendations have actually received whatever it was that they wanted from Gov Plus!?! Be smarter than I was! Do your research.

  GOV is a completely unnecessary "service". You're basically paying double to get a passport renewal or TSA precheck. They don't tell you about the interview that is still necessary, and you have to pay an additional $78 to TSA at the interview after paying GOV $77. I got my passport renewal done at double the price, but my daughter, who submitted her passport renewal application to GOV in November still has not been able to get her application for a renewal passport through their system after almost 2 months! She will now have to miss our out-of- country trip due to this terrible 'service'. Don't waste your time or money dealing with GOV . It may not be a total scam but it's the closest thing to it.

  this was a simple answer a series of questions, nothing complex or difficult. I have my current passport so getting the number & dates were easy. Site worked well and quick. Had to redo photo a couple times to get it right but not difficult at all. Highly recommend. No lines, no special trips to get photo made, easy to complete forms on line. done from the comfort of my home. Should receive renewed passport in about 3 months in ample time before my current one expires.
