  Gofish is not transparent about how water temperatures affect camera performance. (I bought 4 of these cameras in May of 2023). If you plan to use the camera in temperatures less than 65 degrees Fahrenheit, be aware that the camera will not record video for more than 30 minutes before it quits and you will have to reel it back in and warm it up before it will start working again. In 44 degree water the videos lasted 15 minutes, in 60 degree water they lasted 22 minutes. The camera itself cannot function properly in those temperatures and will quit working even though there is plenty of storage on the SD card and plenty of battery life remaining. This was very frustrating since the website says the cameras will record up to 1.5 hours of footage. The website does say that cooler water temperatures will reduce video length but it does not say that the video length will be less than 1/4 of the advertised length. When I contacted them they were aware of all this but have chosen not to be up-front with potential customers. I do not have any issues with the video quality when the camera is actually working, just that they are not transparent about the limitations of their product. I bought four cameras for the purpose of capturing trolling footage of coldwater species such as trout and salmon but the cameras are nearly worthless for this application given the limited amount of time that they function.

  Real good camera, nice sharp pictures. Lots of movement on the camera can give you seasickness but it does a good job. In 60 seconds segements but need to unscrew cap to sutte the camera off, so it runs the whole time that you are rebaiting your pole. I would buy it again.

  The camera works great. It takes a couple fishing trips to figure what works and what doesn’t. I was afraid of loosing it so I was too cautious and recorded lousy video. Once I bought the camera loss protection I was able to get great shots of bottom fishing as well as trolling.

  I put the camera in the water last weekend for the first time. Everything seemed to be working at first. Early morning turned the night mode on. Appears to have recorded 23 minutes of video then it died. Recharged it. Pulled the SD to look at the video. Will not open on my phone or desktop. After charging I put the card back in to see if it would go through the app. It will not show up on Bluetooth and won’t connect to the app. The buttons are sunk into the housing so you have to use a ballpoint pen to press the buttons. Not a good product. I will be returning

  The camera will not send video back once it's underwater you have to get it out of the water and then link it to your phone to see what's going on. Nowhere in the advertising or videos that I remember it said you cannot live stream it. That's exactly why I bought it the live streaming

  Hi Jay, sorry that you felt mislead and bought the product thinking it live streams. On our website we do mention multiple times that this device does not live-stream and that you review when you reel in. There's still a ton of advantages to reviewing footage when you reel in. You can see what kind of fish are there and how they reacted to your bait/lure so you can know whether there's no fish or they're just not biting what you're using. It's also a great way to scout areas, see structure, and capture the cool strike and fight!

  Your advertising is very miss leading you show all this video of fish but none of it is live or more then one minute. My understanding of your advertising was I turn the camera on and could watch it under water for 1.5 hours live. Now I have a camera I will never use! I gave you two to many stars.

  The videos are good. It catches every weed in the water and you knew about it when i bought it at the phila sportsmen show this winter. Your suggestion at the show were to rig a wire that sheds the weeds from catching between the camera and the attachment point. I did not figure that out and the camera is not worth the agravation. If you come up with a cure let me know . Camera became a dust collector and disappointment.

  Overall, the quality of the camera and the video is pretty good. It's simple enough to use, and seems pretty reliable so far. Logistically, it's a little unwieldy, though. My biggest problem with it is that the camera is essentially upside down when pulling it through the water, so all the video playbacks are upside down. The interface with the camera and smart phone is a little quirky too, and it doesn't always stop recording when you command it to. Overall, I have adapted to the quirks, but it could be better.

  Hi James, thank you for the review. We are always working on the quirks of the app to make the experience much better. If you find your cam flipping, there's a setting in the app where you can rotate which side is upright since some fishing styles will have the camera ride the other way.

  I bought this cam 2 weeks ago and have already captured some amazing video! I can’t wait to continue to use my fish cam while offshore fishing. I love being able to see what’s on the bottom of the ocean and knowing exactly what I am fishing for.

  $30 for dhl shipping and then dhl charged another $38 to charge me gst and pst. If gofish had proper accounting software which automatically charges the various state taxes I wouldn’t have been double charged by dhl. I’m going g to return the product unopened

  Hi Rajkamal, I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the shipping of the product. We cannot charge duties/taxes for other countries as a business. The customs duties will vary depending on the Country and if importing a product, they will require the receiver to pay their relevant taxes/duties to clear through customs.
