Verified reviewThe order was very satisfactory in terms of quality of the material and the speed of delivery. Regarding the navigation of the site, some time ago there seemed to be a sudden change in the stamps category. The "buy" page offered short cuts which are no longer available and within continents and countries option were listed whereas now one has to click on "categories" every time to find another option. Also in the past, when one clicked on an item to buy, bid or get extra infiormation, one was returned to the place on the page: now you are returned to the top of the page and have to scroll all the way down again. Plus the quick return to the top of the page is often not available. I have a particular problem about which I have contacted delcampe but have received no reply. Payment by mangopay is not currently available. One is advised to "confirm" oneself but when I try to do so, all I get is a blank page. As a result I have an order awaiting payment which I am unable to pay.

Verified reviewThe seller performed well, the items were as expected, and the order was shipped quickly. This has almost always been my experience as a buyer on Delcampe for more than 17 years. However, I rarely shop Delcampe anymore for one simple reason, the site's decision a few years ago to begin levying obnoxious buyer's premium charges or, as Delcampe chooses to call them, platform fees. Same thing. I stopped attending local live auctions over 30 years ago, as most auction houses began to tack on additional charges over and above the hammer price, and my attitude toward such charges really hasn't changed. The seller is receiving the income. The seller should pay the fees out of that income. The buyer should simply be responsible for the high bid and the shipping charges, not for having to figure out how much a normal high bid has to be lowered to leave room for those annoying fees.
