  I am impressed with how easy it was to sell my old Mercedes-Benz to Cash for Cars. I answered some questions online and scheduled to have car picked up on a day that was convenient for me. The tow truck driver that came to pick up the car gave me a check for the amount they offered me online and that was it! He was timely, professional and friendly. I would do business with them again.

  Very difficult to deal with. The original quote that I got was not later honored. I was told the quote was a glitch in the system! I tried to argue that this quote should be honored, but was never able to explain that to the person on the other end. Took to many days to get a real quote, and to then work out all the details. Not happy with the process.

  Overall transaction was good. However, made a 2-hour appointment for car pickup, and they never showed. No calls, emails, texts, etc. Called the next business day and they rescheduled. No apology or explanation. Picked up (almost on time) after 2nd attempt. Just wish I hadn’t taken off work on a Friday afternoon to meet them for a no-show.

  Since my car was drivable, new tires, no damage but under the back bumper, I was sad it couldn't be repaired. It gave me some comfort that it might be of some use to someone who has the same car and can use the parts. Cash for cars was easy to deal with and efficient. Their local lot in Arlington was very helpful. Removing my car from Cooks Auto Rebuild allowed me to make only a couple visits to set up the removal and then stop back later for my check.

  My experience with Cash For Cars was great! From the first contact (a text from the purchase agent) to the information gathering process with him and then the photo inspection of my car, to the offer, which I negotiated higher after the photos were seen, to the pick-up process including a live phone contact during the day the sale was made to plan the pick-up time and location. The entire process and each person in that process was professional and pleasant and informed. I appreciated this experience at the end of my relationship with my beloved 2006 Audi A4.

  The process of selling my car was relatively easy but I was not impressed with the quality of service when I went to pick up my money . I had to take the bus to go pick up my cash. . Taking the bus involved 3 transfers, and walking about a .75 mile in the 100 degree heat . I get to the office and the RUDE girl working told me I couldn’t be in the building because she was helping someone else. She made me wait outside for almost 15 minutes in the scorching heat . I’m legally disabled and a partial foot amputation 5 years ago. I have a lot of trouble getting around and I’m in constant pain. I don’t expect help or sympathy from anyone but it’d be nice to be treated with some dignity and respect .

  Too good to be true? Nope! The offer was easily twice that of others. This of course triggered the “too good to be true” alert. I took several days to research the company and look for reviews. There were not a lot of reviews out there for this company in particular, however there was some for the parent company Copart. Most had positive experiences so I decided to go ahead. Car was picked up when they said they would pick it up. Tow truck driver had the check in hand. Check was cleared by my bank. Absolutely no issues here. Staff were answered all my questions and concerns.

  overall simple and effective process and good customer service and speedy response. But the reasoning for signing of title and sending phots of a singed title need to be clearly explained and the process steps documented on your web site. It just sounds suspicious when you ask someone over the phone to sign the back of the tile and send you a picture, without explaining the reason for this step.

  If you’re like me, you might be cautious about selling your car to someone online. I had excellent service, follow-up and follow-through. I also got $5000 after the Toyota dealership offered me $500. 10/10 would use Cash for cars again.

  All of the business conducted over the phone went smoothly and I had an offer in less than five minutes. The hitch came on pick-up day. I was supposed to meet the tow truck at the location the car was waiting and I was told I would be notified so that I could MEET the tow truck on the pick up site. I would be presented the check for purchasing my car at that point. I was never notified but the tow truck picked up my car and took it away to the storage yard on the agreed pick up date. The next day, I had to pursue the matter to get the title delivered and obtain the check as per our agreement over the phone. I had to go to the storage yard. The people at the storage yard were very courteous and professional but I felt I shouldn't have to be the one to pursue finishing the deal and travel to a place I was unfamiliar with the location. The lady at the storage yard looked up the pick up information and agreed that I was supposed to be notified and would MEET the tow truck at the car's location. Someone dropped the ball and it wasn't I. I also would've preferred that it would've been made clear that the purchase offer would be the amount with the fees due the dealer deducted. This was not specified, although I have to agree the IF Cash For Cars was going to pay the fee I owed the dealer then the check I received matched the agreed purchase fee less the dealer's repair fee. Just specify. I haven't done a transaction like this before and I prefer crystal clear instructions. This one was a bit muddy. All in all, I still would sell my old car to Cash For Cars but suggest the couple of hitches be addressed for future costumers. Again, everyone I dealt with, both over the phone and in person, were top notch.

  When I decided to sell my car to cashforcars.com, I thought I was going to get cash but turns out it’s a check. The lady who texted me about picking up my car told me a certain day and time and I’m waiting and the lady never shows up. I text her and I come to find out she wasn’t even going to come till the next day, couldn’t even text or call she was going to cancel. The next day she gets to my house and she’s extremely rude and unprofessional.

  I had a great experience with Cash for Cars. I received my online quote for my car. When I called in, it was a little less than what the online amount was but not by much. The only hard part was scheduling a good time for the tow truck to come. It was was like a 4 hour window (per appointment) and during business hours. Will definitely recommend. Thank you!

  The transaction went smoothly, and very fast. The deal was set up online, and they sent a driver to collect the vehicle. They handled all of the paperwork, except getting the title notarized, and that is likely a Pennsylvania thing. Everything they said they would do, they did. The only complaint is that the price offered for the vehicle was low. You may accept or decline the offer online without any pressure or obligation, and the offer they gave me was comparable to other dealers. It was sad to see them take away your vehicle though ); The check helped make up for it ;). Oh, if you have any accessories, take them off & sell them separately. Things like truck caps and bed liners can be sold on online marketplaces, and do not effect the price CfC pays.

  I recently sold an '83 Porsche 944. The process was easy...answered a few questions and sent a few pictures. I made it clear that my husband had lost his key to the car. When the tow truck driver came, he had a truck on the flatbed and was going to tow the Porsche behind it with a tow bar. At that point we discovered the parking brake was on. after considerable effort he managed to release it. He went out of his way to accomodate the sale...his efforts were much appreciated!

  All the people I talked and dealt with at Cash For Cars were excellent I received an offer for my car immediately over the phone...and then in an email for verification. It was also the best offer I received from the 3 different companies I called. The schedulers for the car pickup were excellent and knowledgeable. The tow truck driver that picked up the car was very prompt. He told me it might take a day to get to my car if he couldn't do it the same day. He called me back to let me know he was coming out the same day that I called about the car. I highly recommend Cars For Cash.

  They pay better than scrap prices, but not much better. I filled out their online form a dozen or more times. EVERY time, their $$$ figure was significantly different. When it finally approached a figure I could tolerate, I agreed, Naturally, they changed their offer AGAIN. Important TIP: Do NOT ACCEPT their first offer- they will come up by hundreds of dollars, because they are very poor negotiators and are trying to stonewall you. If you really NEED the money and are not prepared to walk away, this is not the right company to be dealing with. They very clearly subcontract their telephone negotiatiations to third world countries, so be prepared to talk to a series of wannabe lowballers who are trying to get their own cut, and be prepared to WALK... I EVENTUALLY got a deal I could live with, because I could afford to wait. Most importantly: Fill out their online form several times before accepting an offer. Good luck.

  Very easy to sell your car. I reached out to several buyers and cash for cars gave me the highest bid. The car was picked up on the scheduled day and time with prior confirmation. There was no negotiating at pick up just verification of VIN and quick visual check of exterior. And, of course, the check for the agreed upon amount. I would sell to them again.   Initially the person who contacted me was pushy and rude, unwilling to verify who they are or how they got my information. The next person I talked to was much better.   Simple form was filled out online and I received a call immediately and after they get specifics of your car and you send a few pictures of your car and cleared title and they give you quote of how much they’ll buy your vehicle for. Then connects you to the dispatcher who sets up a time that someone will come and tow the car. The tower hands you a check at that same time. They said to wait 3 hrs before cashing check and that was it. They made it so easy & completely stress free I’d recommend this company to anyone who just wants to get rid of their vehicle without any hassles at all.

  I am a bit confused between cashforcars.com and copart.com. My dealings were with Copart and I'm not sure if they are one in the same. This review is for Copart. I had a 2014 hybrid Jetta. It was beautiful but the warranty had expired and the transmission had gone bad. The quoted price to repair it was greater than the Kelley Blue Book value of the vehicle. It sat in my garage for over a year while I remained indecisive. It pained me to scrap it but it had to be done. I had a very favorable experience with Copart. I was skeptical and nervous but they gave me a quote immediately after I answered a series of questions. I later spoke with someone who asked me to text them a photo of the title, which is needed in order to complete the transaction. They were able to pick up my car within 24 hours after I provided the paperwork. Their tow truck driver arrived with a check payable to me in the amount promised. He took pictures, affixed the keys to the steering wheel and removed the car from my property. All in all, it was very easy. One comment about the check: if it is for more than $1000, it needs a second signature, which the driver had to provide. This was in the fine print written on the check. Do your due diligence, read everything.

  The process was relatively easy and they were able to pick up the vehicle and pay me on the spot for it. I had no real issues. The only inconvenience was the pick up window was 8 hours. Hard to be available for 8 hours with a one hour notification to be ready for pickup. That was my only issue, but they gave me an hour notice and were there within that time frame. That was the only slight inconvenience.

  2 stars because the check ended up cashing, but dang no other stars earned for the process. You get no protection. You would never let anyone take your car and give you a check (not cashiers), but they do. They also were to give me an hour notice to come meet them, but called and said the guy was taking my car right then, and asked me to drive 45 min more to come pick a check up. Who takes a car without paying first? When I demanded that they pay me before they take it, she was the one that was inconvenienced, not me who had to drop everything with no notice. Bad process, no protection, and rude attitudes.
