  We have used Allyson two years in a row to help us navigate years when we lived in both the US and the UK. She made the process very easy for us and straightforward and also coordinated with the UK accountant to make sure information and documents were being shared. Great experience!

  Katelynn was great to work with. The process of uploading documents was simple and the team was in constant communication at every step.   Dafne and Allyson always are so helpful and efficient, I feel confident leaving my tax form in their competent hands.   My experience at Bright!Tax was mostly good the team assigned to my case were efficient and informative. Some points were still confusing , but everything was eventually explained to me, and the team did help me make some savings on my tax bill, so that was very good! I also gave Bright!Tax POA, as I am in Afghanistan and unable to make direct comms with tax officials in USA, so this extra service was very helpful. I would recommend Bright!Tax to other people, should I ever meet any expats needing good tax advice.

  Working with Bright!Tax was such an easy and painless process. I'm a US citizen and lived and worked in the UK for about 4 years. Our family CPA (in the US) was unaware of various US filing requirements, such as that the US insists on annual tax returns based on citizenship rather than residency meaning, if you're a US citizen, you file each year, regardless of where your income arises (oops!). Allyson is so knowledgeable and experienced working with expats and definitely made me feel at ease, especially having to file several years' worth of taxes at once. I'm very grateful for her and Bright!Tax and would highly recommend them.

  My situation is not easy and Ryan has been very patient with me and my many questions over the years. Because of my workflow, I am not able to submit my tax info any sooner than mid May, and this makes if difficult for Ryan to prepare my taxes in time for my IRS filing deadline in Portugal.I will write to you sooner regarding my 2019 taxes to see what can be done to expedite my taxes in May 2020.Thank you for your help this year.

As someone who assumed my returns would always be $0, it was great to work with someone who was knowledgeable with the Spanish tax system as well as my rights and filing obligations as an American abroad.Special thanks go to Katelynn and Dafne, who helped me through some tricky laws and to understand how my taxes abroad affected those back home.   This year has been a great experience with Bright!Tax -- a big improvment over last years problems which you seem to have vanquished.I would make one suggestion. I understand that when filing the 1040 it is possible to make a direct payment of any taxes owed. It would be much more convenient if the payment of your fees and the payment of the taxes due could be made at the same time through you. (on an optional basis of course).

  It was difficult for me to estimate when I would have my necessary documents from the foreign country where I live. And therefter I was very slow at following up, both with entering the information into your form, and paying the bill, and signing the final authorization documents. Apart from that, it was completely painless and you were immediate in responding - so thanks!

  I highly recommend Bright!Tax. This was the first time I have used a tax accountant I found online and I will be using their services going forward. Katelynn was extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. I particularly appreciated how she was so quick to address specific questions I had. For expats living overseas, filing US taxes can be intimidating. Bright!Tax makes it easy.
