The design is both modern and comfortable, and the couch was just the right amount of firmness. You can pull out the bed to sleep overnight, but when you remove the back cushions, it's wide enough to lie in comfortably and nap. The size is perfect for an apartment, and it seemed easy enough to transport through the lobby / up the elevator (though it was an excellent white-glove service that did this).

This sofa was a gamble after searching high and low for something I liked and was affordable at the local furniture stores. DeSoto Sofa is just unique enough to draw my eye and take a chance. Glad I did. I love sitting lengthwise on the couch with my back to the arm and my feet up. I sit there and work like that for hours. If you are short, the seat is a bit deep. I'm pretty happy with the purchase. The only reason for docking a star is that the look of the couch is bulkier in person than in the photos represented online. The seat cushion is thicker and the sofa in general is a bit larger in scale than the photos. More examples of this in real life would be nice, including the fact it has a tufted seat. Also, the fabric is a bit bunched in the middle front, which I'm not sure it is supposed to be like that.
