  I was waited on by Susan at the Villa Park location. She was friendly, helpful and completely honest about the items I brought in. After reviewing all of my items and giving me a WONDERFUL price, I left a richer person. I will definitely be back again with more things to sell. If you have old jewelry, that is broken or you just don't wear it anymore, don't leave it laying around - sell it at PGS and get a great price for it.

  These guys originally bought some silver flatware and a couple of rings with no settings. Awesome price! Twice as much as locals here! They called me when my oackage arrived and gave me a price the same day. Mailed it at their expense the following day. Couldn’t be happier, in fact, I dug around the house and found old class rings and a couple of pieces of silverware. Same thing!! Awesome prices…awesome people to work with!!

  I advised my friend to go to PGS Gold & Coin after she said the thought of going anywhere in Chicago to sell a 92 year old’s silver trays felt too dangerous. I drive past the huge gold urn outside their business in Palatine and PGS’ website was well laid out, and informative. A woman came to the door and when she said they were closing, I groaned, prompting a man from PGS to ask where we’d come from. When they heard we came from Chicago, they agreed to see us. You can imagine our gratitude after enduring expressway traffic and a short storm! Judith at PGS was a breath of fresh air and kind enough to look at my friend’s plated silver, something many places won’t do. As she weighed the trays and bowls, Judith explained that it’s difficult for smelters to extract the thin layer of silver from them. This affects the price per pound that anyone will pay. My friend was very happy to get a fair price and we were delighted to be treated with respect since these weren’t gold coins! If you’ve ever experienced bad service at other places—don’t give up! Judith at PGS is a jewel!

  Very good service. Only suggestion I have is to make sure the receipt matches the purchase. I purchased silver, however my receipt says copper. I'm hopeful I will receive an updated receipt via email stating it was silver, for my records. Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase and the customer service!

  I had a bunch of old jewelry and was not sure if any of it was real or costume. They inspected all the pieces, explained in detail what type of material it was and offered a fair price.
