    I had a problem when I arrived at the hotel. I had paid for a room with private bath and when I arrived the manager told me Zen had deposited the money for a room with shared bathroom. I had to pay the difference. I had quite some trouble communicating with Zen, but eventually they refunded me the money.

However when looking on their website to see if I could clarify some details I realised it was very hard to find information about my booking and that I could call one number for customer service and that I would be charged to call.     I thought that the hotel was very clean. It was good value for the price. I would stay there again. The only thing I have to complain about is the locks on the door. The first day it took us about 15 minutes to get it opened.

    I booked a bed/ breakfast with this tin pot company. 2 days before check in got an email from them saying breakfast wasn't included. This was the reason I booked with them in the first place! As it was too late to cancel, they told me to go ahead and pay for the breakfasts and they would " consider " refunding me! this was mid February and after having to get receipts from the hotel, emailing them to this crowd, they then told me I had to send my acc No, sort code, swift No Iban No, name and address, and name and address of bank. I simply asked for a cheque or even postal orders as i don't like the idea of giving my details to anyone. I was told they only use bank transfer. What kind of " Company " doesn't have a cheque book? Then I was told last week that it would be refunded to me between 3 and 30 - yes THIRTY - days! I'm still waiting, and losing the will to live! If you don't like complications, don't use this lot, I certainly won't. Ever again.

    The room itself was fine, though a bit rough around the edges. The breakfast buffet was good and varied. Our biggest problems with this stay were that the whole hotel smelled like old men's aftershave or incense, and the fact that the outdoor pool closed in September, which we didn't know beforehand. The fact that the hotel had a pool was the main reason we booked it, otherwise we would have preferred to stay more centrally.

    As i booked double room we were 2 pax. The receptionist refused to accomodate us. I requested receptionist to accomodate us he said not possible you habe to take another room.. Frankly soeaking Ibam in vacation an i had booked manu hotel since last week i dont understand how this became 1pax and double room. and the hotel deducted the full amount even after the hotel manager promised me personally that he will cancel woth out charging me. even charged dhs 175 more

    I would never book with Zen hotels again. I got to my hotel and my hotel could not find my booking confirmation as apparently the agent I booked with had cancelled my booking 2 days before I arrived. Note I had paid for my booking in full 2 months prior. I had to ring zen hotels headquarters who are based in Cyprus, to help resolve the issue. It took over two hours with my phone bill being sky high. It was a horrible ordeal, with hotel being fully booked and no rooms available. In the end they managed to sort it somehow. However it was a horrible start to my holiday and I wouldn't advise anyone to book with them.

    Ok website, sends sms alerts regarding reservation, pricind did not enclude VAT and we didn’t notice the small letters saying it online. I wish it was highlighted before making reservations.
