I was looking for an attractive cutting board for my new quartz countertops. The quartz is white with black veining……these black boards are perfect! So far they are holding up well with no color change so I am very pleased. Much nicer than regular brown wood boards.

I'm really happy with the design and usability of these cutting boards. It is sturdy, but still lightweight. The colors are vibrant and I love these boards so far! I'm excited to give one to my mom for Christmas.

I ordered the stand in midnight black with the trio of almost black knives as a Christmas gift for one son then returned to the site before they arrived (only 8 days) and ordered the walnut block set with the 2 cool neutral knives and four utensils for my other son. At least that's what I thought I'd ordered but in fact it was the larger set. I reached out to customer service on the Material site and had a reply within an hour (despite it being late in the evening) confirming that my order would be corrected. My orders arrived extremely well packaged after regular updates as to their shipping progress. Both sets are absolutely stunning! My expectations were high but Material Kitchen's art-piece products, customer service and prompt delivery have, hands-down, exceeded them.

The board has a pleasant weight and texture and it's not too tall to fit in my dishwasher, but it also rinses off nicely. The material feels very hard and dense, it does not seem to have picked up any scores from my knives unlike some other plastic boards I've had. I got a couple of the lighter colors and am just hoping they don't pick up any stains or discolor over time. So far I haven't found that they slide around much but they are very slick feeling so I could imagine that happening. Happy with them!

Extremely well made with great heat conductivity, this pan is a very nice size. It's on the heavy side, but very dependable.
