The look is more a white-washed oak than a pure ash or white oak look, but it still looks great.

I was so stunned by the quality of this cutting board when I ordered it for a holiday gift that I decided to order a second one for myself. I plan on coming back to Material any time I need a gift for holidays, birthdays or weddings since the products are so gorgeous and also useful.
