I purchased one full table in Grotto and one full table in Dune. The quality is outstanding and the texture is fabulous (as others mentioned the interior is scratchy for the bowls - this did not bother me and contributed to their uniqueness). What does bother me is that the bap and breakfast bowls are the stunning black grotto shade, but the open bowl, half and full plates are actually navy. On the inventory sheet that came with the packages, it even lists those three items as "navy" instead of grotto. When I take a closer look at the full table photos for grotto, it's very hard to tell. I don't understand why they wouldn't make them match. For this much money, I want to LOVE the set and not have any hang ups. I'm torn.

Both colors are great, but the Grotto is especially striking! You can definitely tell the handmade quality. Packaging was fantastic and came with cute tape; none of the 8 plates/bowls I ordered arrived broken. Highly recommend!

Yet another excellent piece from Material for everyday use. This sits adjacent to my stovetop in "The Base" for easy access. The aesthetic is as beautiful as is functional, and the walnut wood shines. Love the angled bottom for easy scraping in pans, jars, etc. It's a bit lighter in weight than expected, but otherwise, this is perfect.

The Esquire magazine review convinced me to buy your trio of knives. I couldn’t be more satisfied…every knife is sharp and easily held in my arthritic hands which provides me with confidence and safety when slicing and dicing.

This is the perfect every day cutting board. It lives on my counter. Not only is it an incredibly made piece (no plastic flaking whatsoever, wohoo!!) it also is made from recycled materials and adds the perfect dopamine punch to my kitchen decor !

Design and function are perfect. I bought this piece so I could free up precious drawer space in my kitchen. My cooking utensils and knives are now displayed beautifully. My brain has started bubbling with thoughts of where/how else to use this stylish piece in my home/work space. Thank you Material.

Admittedly, you've set a high bar for yourselves, Material! This one was not up to your standards, though. It's flimsy in a way & has other hallmarks of a really inexpensive bowl. And you have GREAT photographers, but the colors don't measure up, in person. I purchased with the intent of giving a VERY beautiful-- upscale-- functional gift to a friend and these don't measure up. Because the images on the web are so deceptive, I wrote asking for a pre-paid label to ship them back and hope to get your help on that. That said, one miss doesn't ruin your fabulous reputation with me!

Although in general I am subscribing to the Material presepctive that all you need is three knives-- theirs-- (and I have all three) I have to disagree just a bit. This is my second 4" knife from Material. There is rarely competition in our kitchen for the 8 inch knife or even the terrific serrated knife between the two parents who cook and our young adult daughter who is an exceedingly good and involved chef! The four-inch knife is another matter. The color is gorgeous. The main thing is we need two. Or perhaps three. Happy to add this to our collection and reduce strife in the kitchen!

I have had my eye on this! And it did not disappoint. Made chicken soup and this peeler made a very smooth and quick job with the celery and carrots. Plus, no plastic.

MY grandsons 8 & 6 years cook reguarly and the whisk is getting used daily! There is so much fun in having this whisk that fits your hand and is needed for so many eats they make, like pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sauces. We recommend!
