I've bought a lot of cheap knives and always been disappointed, but not being a great cook, I didn't want to spend tons of money on something I didn't think I'd use much. These three knives are really all I need (except I might get the steak knives also). Buying just three makes them affordable. They are sharper than any knives I've used before and I did cut myself once in the beginning, but I think I have the hang of it now.
