I've used magnification glasses before but you truly get what you pay for— meaning, those glasses barely lasted a couple weeks. I was looking for a solid pair that would actually look good and not fall apart. I got the Bond (black) glasses w/ 1.0+ magnification and originally thought they'd help me read books on my Kindle better. I ended up using my glasses more at work, primarily to read emails on my computer. I normally wear eyeglasses for distance, what I like about the bond frames are: hidden hinges prevent my hair catching on the frame when adjusting the position and they are really light on my nose/temples. Sometimes, I forget that I'm wearing glasses. I'd highly recommend.
