I brought eos rebel t6 dslr for a diagnosis of an image processor problem as the LCD was not working. I was called because the problem was not detected, so I paid the cost of cleaning the sensor, which they took anyway. If I had chosen to do nothing, however, I would have taken $15 for the trouble, for me not justified. In any case, I took the camera back but the LCD wouldn't turn on. I leave for the vacation: first shot, the device is not triggered and the LCD toggles off: all the same. Now I am traveling more than 600 miles thinking I'd enjoy photography but I can't sink in my teeth. A camera repair service that does not do an overall test of performance after fixing is not attentive service.

You have to pace up and down before you get any help, then the staff is not very friendly at all. Normally I would still give them 2 stars because they offer quite a big selection of camera gear, but it seems that the staff don't have any background knowledge of what they are selling. This led to the fact that the associate gave me wrong specifications for a lense I was interested in... Just poor service

A top photography source to get some equipment. The customer service was excellent and could always help me, just the prices are not the cheapest one pitted against the internet, but sometimes they offer great deals. Most of the demo lenses and cameras are inside glass displays, so you need ask the staff to open them to test them out, which is quite unpleasant if it's busy and you need to wait for a long time. Overall a great place if you know already what you want to buy and the price doesn't matter to you.

I took a camera in for repair in May. Made an estimate (over 130 dollars), accepted. In August still no news, in September not even, in October I go in person and tell me that there are no spare parts. I take the camera back, take it to another technician, fix it in two days and spend half of his price!!!!!! If I had done it immediately I could have used it in the summer.

Customer support availability and professionalism are the winning weapons of camera stores in the United States. I have frequented this place for years, and it has never let me down. Lately, after a long lull from photography, I decide to buy a very superior used lens on display in the window of their site that I cannot go and see and try personally because it is blocked in the movements by the anti-covid regulations. They reassured me about everything and they sent it to me within a week exactly how they described it to me. They always have a good choice of both new and used photographic products. Location more functional than aesthetics, well connected despite being a little at the edges of New York. Website should be revamped in my opinion. Brayden Hutchinson.

Off the bat. Poor customer service. I placed an order with express shipping, which was 2-3 days delivery…it’s been over a month and not even an email response of any kind. And talking to them on their bot service online, is useless because they can’t even track up your order. Once my order arrives I will not be order from them any longer. After the thousands i’ve spent at this store to be ignored is just unacceptable. A delay would be expected because of the current climate, but taking money for express shipping and not sending it in even double the time is just downright fraudulent.

Not beginner-friendly at all! I bought the eos canon rebel t100, which at first I was charged over 1000 dollars for, and they tried to give me the used model telling me it was brand new. When my girlfriend asked where the box kit went, they went and got a new one from the back. The 1100 was quickly fixed to the actual sale price. Now where I have the problem is when I returned it. At first he charged me an upfront of 900 dollars instead of showing us used and new cameras. Then he had to cancel and then actually do the real refund. Wouldn't recommend anyone that's new to photography to start here. They might just sell you the grey model over priced. The only reason I returned it was to get a used lens for a new dslr. Have a great day.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I always get invaluable information on astronomy equipment. They do not try to hoodwink me into something unnecessary or expensive. It is usually I that wants to over-purchase for my needs. I have never had a bad experience when visiting this store. Even if I am not shopping for anything, I feel comfortable to throw the bull with the passionate astronomers; often discussing optics recommendations before actually making a potential purchase. I have bought used telescopes, mounts and all have worked smoothly(also traded in some eyepieces without any problems). They often hold astronomy talks; I go when I can and the staff are very helpful with astrophotography tips when I need/ask for them.

Useful local store seems to be wasting away these days and it's from bad to worse. This place is a look at the past for service and familiarity! Mom and pop run the business along with excellent customer service for years and years. They know their stuff. Now they don't have any make or model of binoculars from Nikon or Leica, they just keep the quality cameras and prime lenses. They also still make photo prints and now can make Canvas and Metal prints on site. They also sell good quality audio equipment. Support a local business and get quality service!

Been here a few times for my lenses accessories needs the Manager (tall) is helpful but rest of the staff pretend to be Google IT staff with eyes on laptops. I wanted to buy ice 100mm filter holder and the one of the lazy associates kept telling me to buy some random branded lens polarizer even though I said I wanted filter holders, not very relevant to my problem. Theyre also not dressed formally and it's not friday because I felt the staff were customers around in jeans in the store until they acknowledged me, not the best service.

Very disappointed by the service after driving for more than two hours under a simmering sun.The plan was to buy a telescope for my daughter's birthday as she wants to start astro-photography. The FIRST associate indifferently referred me to their website and left, 2nd person just asked me something and passed and the other employee which I did approach after waiting while staff where smiling together was unwilling to help me. Lot's of people with no desire to sell or help, because of no real competition in NY telescope market. Just a store full of great products. Will give the money to B&H or Amazon.

After having a disgusting experience with K&M Cameras in New York, I tried Fenway photo. Was promptly helped by Alex who set me up with my Nikon camera equipment at a competitive price and resolved all my issues. First time bumping into this store in my shopping spree! There was no hard sell- everything was pretty casual and the place was just packed with people. Everything from 30k telescopes to lenses suiting my recreational photographic talents... they had it all. If you're looking for specialists / enthusiasts who love anything with a lens- this ought to be your one and only stop. My suggestion, however- is to remain prudent in your purchases- know what you want... at least get some outside feedback on what is recommended- at least then you'll know for sure that you can purchase with confidence. In time, they'll have earned your trust and you can relax!

I live in Orlando, FL and needed to buy a Red digitall Cine Dragon-X Camera. B&H store had a lower price so I gave Fenway Photo a call. They quickly checked bh website and price matched right away. Not only that, I was able to order the camera on their website and they matched the whole the price. The icing on the cake of the whole process was the delivery. Outstanding local home-grown camera store. If they had an Achilles's heel, it would be that they have too much stock in the store. Very knowledgeable staff whether you are into photography or videography. Diversified selection of accessories for cameras or lenses as well. Came in looking for a macro lens to buy as an emergency replacement. Alas, it was not in stock. However, this is not why I give this store a two star review. The sales guy who I spoke with at first was friendly, but wasn't too familiar with macro photography? I was looking for - no problem. He then asked one of his coworkers about the lens in question, to which the coworker responded loudly "Yeah it's a real spying lens." I don't appreciate having my purchase/myself being labelled as "spy". I myself work in the American wedding photography industry, and don't believe it is at all appropriate to use such terminology to refer to a customer's purchase. I left immediately after this as I did not feel like I was being taken seriously. Overall it's quite unfortunate, as I've had a couple of good experiences here before, and have been using this store from my progression as a beginner photographer into an intermediate amateur. Not sure if I will return now after this visit.

Usually everyone just wants the best price when it comes to camera lenses and accessories (it is a productive asset after all)...but then again, I can tell you this, when it comes to excellent customer service, it is pretty rare to find many camera stores that offer both great prices AND service. Alex was great today, a real asset to the company - provided great assistance, very helpful and doing what he can to get our shipment sent as quick as possible! I used fenway poto many years ago and their service was average at best but just recently I have gone back to them and clearly they have improved their service and total delivery solutions. Their prices are still better than most but the “stock in store” indicator is accurate, their communication on order progress exceptional and they now use USPS (probably the best main stream courier service). Overall I cannot fault them.

Sent my Sony Alpha a7 III for troubleshooting as it wasn't booting up correctly. David fixed it for me within 1 night and told me that the problem was my start off/on system as it was not properly interconnecting with my motherboard. He fixed a new one for me and it worked! I haven't been here prior covid 19 but it was bustling with life given the many customers making a beeline for their merchandise. Staff their are helpful and they will help find the appropriate camera gear and also recommend accessories that can substitute expensive brands or things that aren't available. Pick up section looks long but they get your items out within a couple of minutes. The rentals department is it is located upstairs along with exhibitions. When you are there have a look at their show room. It looks amazing with their camera equipment set ups.

This business and their service is amazing! Knowledgeable staff and helpful. If you're a hobbyist astronomer or looking for a new telescope, Catadioptrics, eyepieces etc, this is the spot! Order online, they're legit. We drove there because we didn't know the brand before buying a new Cassegrain off them. They had a tonne of people lined up buying gear. This place is a photo geekdom. Its got some goodies on display and even a few camera equipment set up to test out. The sales is all behind counter and you have to know what u want. Fenway I found to be one of the most cheapest photography pro source in downtown New York. The showroom is fantastic. The store was easy to find with lots of parking in front of the store. The customer service was not great. Poor communication with protracted response times to emails etc. I live down the road so I selected to pickup items. It took many days until my order was ready to collect. All items was in stock. I could of paid extra fee to have 1hr collection time but refused in principle.

I recently purchased a refurbished Sony ZV-1 from Fenway photo. Purchased this Vlogger for my daughter. Delivery was fast, packaging was excellent/safe/secure. The camera is in excellent condition (almost new) and works impeccably. After being messed around by other vendors with my Fujifilm GFX 100 order, I was able to contact these guys very easily by phone, email and Craiglist as well. After confirming they had stock, being the only ones in NY with stock, I placed my order and it was shipped out same day. Good prices, at the cost of customer service. Was told FIVE BUSINESS DAYS after I placed an order that my order was not shipped because of an item not being in stock. Keep in mind I only got that information as I phoned to see why it had not been shipped yet. Only to be assured the camera was coming in this morning (called at 10am) and would be shipped out today. It is now 4PM and after another call they said it had been shipped with tracking details to be added in the next hour. USPS gridlock.. I would recommend spending the extra 10 bucks per part with camera kit gear, who has picked, shipped and DELIVERED my items in the same time it took Fenway Photo to get it out of their premises.

Praise should be given where its due. My first order with Fenway Photo was fantastic. The Leica S (Typ 007) i ordered was expecting a delay. The customer agent i spoke to was great and he offered a free Leica Shutter Release Cable S on the camera i originally ordered. The Shipping on the order was fast also. Ordered a large selection of lens accessories for 2 new cameras early this year which arrived without issue. I have no idea what the people are complaining about. I have been using their services for five years and never had any problems. I found some really good bargains here as well. Things were always delivered on time. Last time, there was a problem with the delivery of the Nikon D500, due to address issue (my fault) the support guy, Luke was super helpful and they shipped the package right away as soon as it got back to them. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use their services in future as well.

I bought an EOS 5D Mark IV from Shopping Fenway Photo in August 2020. I wish to comment here, not on the camera itself, but on the customer service I received. My interactions were all with ALex who was very prompt and courteous in responding to all my queries. Yes, phone calls were not possible unfortunately, but emails were sufficient (at least in my case). Moreover, my request for a return was processed efficiently and promptly. Good place to shop for mirrorless dslr cameras, point & shoot, cameras, medium format and other prosumer camera equipment. I've been shopping here for many years now and they have been very fair as you can return goods if unopened and unused. Great selection and staff is friendly.

Supremely stocked with everything electronics and so much more! Occasionally a staff member walked past and asked if I need assistance but most of the time I just explore around browsing for what I was there to buy; it could be both good and bad depending on what you are looking for. Overall it's a well stocked store and staff are always willing to assist if you ask for it. Even the security guard tends to smile at you when entering or leaving.

Came in looking for a Panasonic LUMIX and I attended to quickly. All seemed to be going well as the camera i was interested in was on display however after testing the piece of equipment i did not seem to like it. Then the sales rep starting pushing a really hard sale implying that the camera was a one-off and was not available in any other stores.(which was a blatant lie) I made it well known that I was in the initial stages of looking and that i wanted to have a look at other stores. The rep then said i should purchase the camera immediately as it would not be available if i did not purchase it. He would not let up, i eventually left and went to 42nd Photo in New York a day later where we were met by more polite professional individuals.

Friendly staff, great selection of historic and digital cameras. Traded in an old German Hasselblad 2000FC/M and walked out with my new Hasselblad X1D-50c in less than a half hour. Have used their film processing services a handful of times, always timely and prompt with phone calls, pricing, and making sure you’re happy with the work. Only downside, I don’t live closer so I can stop in more frequently.

Huge camera store with wide selection beyond just cameras. The binocular section carved out for different types kept pinching my wallet. You can test lenses almost every thing available cameras for a very reasonable price. And shoot e with a new EOS R5 to Nikon D7500 under supervision (for a FREE). It's a 1.5 hour drive there for us and the Fenway Photo is worth the drive.

I sent my Sony PXW-FX9 XDCAM 6K Camera in for warranty repair work. Everyone who I spoke to was exceedingly kind and helpful. I figured it would be at least three weeks before I got my cine camera back, but was pleasantly surprised when I got it back completely fixed in under a week! I would highly recommend these guys!!

A very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good product diversity. Eager to help. I am like a question bank but all my concerns were answered very respectfully and in detail. They price match as well. Good discounts on black friday. Very close to downtown New York. They have a good collection of cameras. I found some spotting scopes which are not available anywhere (from Celestron). I am surely their client for a lifetime. The owner lady is super nice too. Alex was the one I dealt with (100% recommended) but all others were eager to help and very friendly. I've been to b&h, adorama, Mikes, Samy's, to name a few but the best customer service is here. I didn't believe when they got a complex film art project completed in 2 weeks time. Awesome folks.

Davis and the crew at Fenway Photo have some of the best prices I have found on-line. They offer a college students' discount but you need to call before placing your on-line order. The experience of trading in a Nikon Z6 camera over during Covid is absolutely brutal. The site took three weeks to make that happen. Each time I sent an inquiry Davis was quick to respond with whatever update he had. They did the very best that could be expected from a customer service perspective. Overall I was very happy with the prices and service I received and happily recommend them.
