    TERRIBLE COMPANY

LESS than zero stars. Copart are extortionists. We are forced to hand over entirely too much $ in fees including unreasonable storage fees, buyers fees, seller fees & Copart is constantly adding EVEN MORE fees (ie: Buy it now less time to pick up before storage is charged)all because Copart has a monopoly on used vehicles it is not uncommon for drivers to wait HOURS to pick up vehicles even WITH an appointment! Most lots are not clearly marked where drivers/transporters need to be. Copart locations do not offer public restrooms for customers. Port o potty does not count. Maybe guys are ok with that but men are not the only ones that are Copart customers. The Copart app is horrible and they should be embarrassed how bad it is with the amount of money Copart is raking in. Copart App shows invoice price discrepancy of $165 on the app for some reason and if you are not paying attention we can pay the wrong amount. I assume it’s a “secure funds” vs non secure funds fee but why is there a non secure funds fee when we MUST pay via online? I suppose I can see Copart charging more for companies that want to write a check if they must but Copart needs to simplify and streamline their online and app

I've had some good experiences with Copart over the last few years but recently there have been multiple bad ones, such as damage to vehicles that clearly happened after the photos were taken, engines that were locked up on a car that was listed as running and others. I spoke to the manager and he basically said too bad. Also the fees have gotten so high because of greed so I've downgraded my membership and stopped buying there.

Overall satisfied with copart. The website is easy to navigate. The manager and office staff at my location are the best. The only significant issue is that the fees and extra costs are at a Pont where I may not be able to continue to buy from copart. The costs have gone up every year and are excessive. Relief in the area is critical.

I dislike being charged for payment methods, the app to “get in line” is redundant when you have to give all the same info when you get to the window. Employees are extremely nice 😊

They didn't represent the car accurately, it was deer damage which the pics showed but then they said it had mechanical damage which it did not have. It didn't bring what it should have because of that. I let it go on pure sale which was my fault but if it was properly represented it would have brought what I was wanting.

Info on the cars is very generic, they do invite you to come look before you buy but when you live a few hours from the nearest site it is tough. I have a 2014 BMW X1 and a 2020 GMC Terrain that I lost out big time, bad motor in BMW and broke transmission, rack and pinion, locked up motor in the Terrain. Again, they do have the option of you coming to look them over before the auction. I do think when obvious things like high dollar parts are broke it would be nice to mention that in description but they would not make nearly as much money.

To many fees that are ridiculous and if you buy car for 400 it shouldn't cost you 115% more to pick the car up we already paid for a car that has a totaled title then we got to pay a ton more to get the car and still got to pay 300 to get it registered. I think people would be better off going to a car lot most of the time. I have bought 6 or 7 cars and only one has been a decent car that I can actually drive

There is substantial work with most of these cars. You have to take time to not overpay for some of these cars since there is normally more work than you can see right away. You can find good buys but not as good as you expect. There is limited time to evaluate what needs to be done on these cars,

Rules vary from location to location. My local facility will not let you use the restroom so plan ahead when visiting. Call prior to traveling to Copart because this location will not allow you entry for vehicle inspection on sale day. Plan to stand for long periods because the staff will ignore you when you show up. Also plan to leave your driver's license as collateral to pass through the gate. Also plan for a long wait to get it back when you are ready to leave. Their vehicle selection is large so you have plenty of vehicles to choose from.

Definitely not customer oriented. They are a huge clearing house and dont care about the individual. I am a premier member and get almost none of the perks they claim they offer. When I go to view cars before the auction, I have to wait up to 2 hours before viewing and I am limited to only viewing 3 cars. If I want to view more than three cars, I have to come back in and go back to the end of the line and wait another couple of hours to view. It seems like most people inside the office hate their jobs and the members they are there to serve. I will say that the yard guy Emilio at the Tucson, Az location is great and one of the managers at the pheonix location was also great. Aside from them, everyone else makes you feel like you are a huge problem for them. Also, they could offer better features like many of their competitors such as, estimated totals including all fees for each bid price, 360 videos outside and inside, and videos of the vehicles running.

The last two vehicles I have purchased had issues surrounding the sale. Prices are becoming too high and the fees are increasingly excessive. I have noticed that lately its harder and harder to find vehicles and purchase them for a reasonable amount. Just my observation after being a member for a couple years. The people I talk to in person at my location are always freindly and willing to help, I had a gal call me to upsell my membership to premium status and later found out all the things she told me to push the premium status were not true. Disappointed in the dishonesty on that aspect. I have had several good experinces but my last several attempts at purchasing a vehilce have been troublesome to put it nicely.

Purchased many cars for personal rebuilds, 1 out of about 8 came back with damage it wasn’t supposed to have, and after verifying with them before pickup that it was not in the listing. Got a full return. Always have a great time with the ladies at the 369 location in KC. Super nice people and Anthony is a GREAT yardsman! With permission he drove me threw the lot and I was able to look at any car I pointed to, jump start them, and check them out before bidding on them! And a great personality too! The new bald-guy at the new KC location could take some serious notes… as he does not see any importance on showing a customer the vehicle before purchase. And is very stingy on letting ANYONE in to see the cars. Even being driven around etc. he seems like he doesn’t enjoy his job very much, and that rubs me the wrong way. being a long term customer is about the only reason I keep coming and the front desk ladies too! But the yard manager needs some serious personality evaluation. He is not following copart rules in allowing people to check out the cars before auction. And he’s cost the 369 location atleast 2 sales from me because he refuses to negotiate (I have a vest, and have purchased and looked at every car I bought before auction, at 3 different locations that had no issues with this) Overall I love copart! And the ladies up front! The young kid Anthony is great too! But the yard management needs some serious training on customer care!

Every car I've purchased (6) from copart has had additional damage done to it via forklift. Torn oil lines, bent tie rods, gauged lower control arms, creased doors, crushed exhaust pipes, etc. The prompt and professional service is great, but I would prefer not to have to make these unnecessary repairs. There has to be a better way of moving car and about.

Excellent source of obtaining quality damaged cars. However, buyer fees are outrageously high and vehicles pick up is a nightmare. They need to get away with this new appointment thing and go back to first come first serve . We miss a lot of opportunities to have our cars picked up just because the transporter can't get an appointment and had to leave. Most of the time we end up paying storage because of that. Also titles and paperwork handling is frustrating. Most vehicles now auctioned with title pending. If you want your title mailed, there is $20 charge for that. Or wait for a long time until the auction get around and send it to you for free. Sometimes a month or more. If the seller wishes to run their cars at auction with title pending, they should be responsible for the mailing charges and title shouldn't take more than a week to be surrendered to auction. Copart management must do a better job catering to dealers by reducing their fees, fix the vehicle pick up nightmare and title handling. And I really wish if they stop allowing the public to buy there. We go thru hell with the state to get our licenses and certifications in order to become dealers. After all we're the ones who buy your inventory. By making it hard on us you'll see less and less dealers who are willing to participate in your auctions and eventually stop. That been said I hope copart listens and fix those issues.

They don’t treat customer right. They make it very hard every year to update documents. Also very unfair that they charge storage on weekends and in particular holiday on Monday when they are closed.. I asked them to give me a break on the storage and they never even responded so o my request as if they are so much better then me that they can’t even reply back

Really feel there is not a company that works harder to piss all over their customers. Very slow service if you are lucky enough to receive any help at all. Buyers fees keep going up and harder and harder to even look at vehicles in person. Took 3.5 hours to look at one vehicle. Only positive is easier to pay than other auctions.

The amount of time it takes for the seller to make up their mind to accept the buyers price. All the FEE'S. is there really a need for Environmental Fee's and Pull out fee's. Internet fees. Buyer privacies, when a transported is picking up cars, would like to have information in an envelope and not something the transporter see. None of their business. The price I pay for units is my business not theirs.

Fees are crazy high. 2-3 times higher than any other auction. Rules are constantly changing but not for the benefit of the customer. Poor selection at the Wichita location. They may run 300-400 cars per week but you can only look at maybe 10-30 of them. Can only request one car be moved to the sale row, but you're lucky if that gets done. All cars now have to be towed out even if they run. So, yet another added expense and hassle in the process. Overall, a pretty poor experience. Many dealers in the area absolutely refuse to do business with Copart and I see why. The customer certainly is not put first.

They have became too greedy in their buyer fees. I have been a copart customer for over 20 years and I was always a preferred buyer. I spend almost double what their amount is for preferred buyers but I fall 1 or 2 cars short of the minimum 25 cars to be preferred. It seems unfair that I spend double the minimum amount but since I buy newer nicer vehicles I get punished with their fee structure. The amount Copart is charging for buyer fees is completely ridiculous. But since Copart and IAA have an almost monopoly they continue to hammer their customers with their fees.

The people are helpful and knowledgeable, but the the fees are crazy. A fee to bid ?? A gate fee?? On low value bids the fees double the price. At least copart doesn't charge to use the bathroom ! I understand these charges and know about them going in, but that doesn't mean I'm pleased about them..

A car we bought was paid for including delivery. 2 months later Copart Trenton calls and says the car got on fire. I requested a refund 3 months ago. Never got it. last 2 years we bought over 100 cars but it seems to me Copart is too big to give customer needs for a dealership our size. We have started purchasing for IAA now.

overall it is a good system, when they describe the vehicle it would be nice to have more information. if it says mechanical issues give more detail for example if it is motor related, transmission related etc. the only other thing i really don't like is all the fees I think these could be reduced

Purchased a 2015 Tesla Model S85 listed as having MECHANICAL damage. Paid for the car and ordered delivery. It was 3 weeks before the car was picked up. When the car arrived, it was apparent that it had extensive saltwater flood damage, had been vandalized, and had ALL parts of value or use stolen. ALL of this damage was cleverly hidden in the way the pictures were taken.

The Office staff are totally not qualified to answer even basic questions also they try to hide the true with excuses the manager in my north Seattle unreachable I talk a lot to staff members numerous times try to talk to him they said he’ll call back and he never does 2 moths had pass and nothing. Also the staff has miss threaded my father a handful of times because he doesn’t speak good English and doesn’t how to use his phone. Now my father doesn’t want to go to the location. The best service I got was from my sales rep Oscar and trevien 5 stars to both of them.
