I’ve been an aficionado of high-quality chocolate for some time. I stumbled upon cacao’s potential as a plant of transcendence a few years ago whipping up a traditional Mexican chocolate drink using chiles and a dash of tequila. I recommend trying just that with a sublime selection from Firefly! Any variety will do. I promise: You’ll be transported.

No need to rely only on cacao powders. Once you try the Cacao Ceremony Sampler Kit - you’ll wonder why you waited. Whether you dissolve a few discs gradually in your mouth, or drop a few into warm/hot water or a milk substitute - the flavors will likely surprise you with their variety and subtlety. You can surely taste the combination of wonderful flavors, healthfulness and bright, clean energy.

I had tried cacao in ceremony and casually with a friend, and she recommended Firefly as a vendor to invest in some of my own. Since I am new to the practice, this sampler kit was extremely helpful in giving me not only a variety of cacao to try, but also easily parsed out servings. I love my experiences already and I'm eager to purchase more once I figure out my favorites!

If you enjoy complex flavors this one will not disappoint. It has many levels of flavor from subtle tobacco scented flavor (if that makes sense) to strong earthy notes and light fragrant flavors dancing around in there all over my tastebuds. I love it with my grass fed sweet cows milk and in my coffee...even in water with a tiny bit of home grown honey. You can even put it in homemade soup! -search for that on youtube ;) Also lends an intermittent sort of musty sweet smell that really makes me feel calm...maybe it doesn't sound great but it's difficult to describe. Sweet and Earthy yet pungently calming.

The sampler kit is the perfect way to try all of Firefly's offerings! A great entry into cacao ceremony, and is now how I begin every day. The origins have different tastes and effects, and it has been fun to experiment and develop a relationship with all of them.
