While I appreciate the fast delivery, the product itself did not agree with my body. Bear in mind, I did research on ceremonial cacao beforehand. I knew what to do, what not to do, I followed the recipe, and still I have read cases where participants felt nauseated after consuming cacao. I did not just experience nausea, however; I had headaches and other gastrointestinal issues, even after drinking LOTS of water. (I tried Crio Bru, which my cousin gave me, a week before and experienced none of these issues.) When I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give it. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

My first impression is, it is vile. I enjoy tart, bitter and unsweet but this is nasty. Will add some honey to see if that makes the experience more pleasant. Sorry. This item was not my first choice as you were out of the product I wanted to try.

i have never had cacao in this form before. I was super excited to try real 100% cacao. now im use to the sweet chocolate so this was something to get use to as far as taste. after my first taste of this bitter flavor and sitting with it, the taste was better and i noticed the other flavor notes. It was good! i tried 2 out of 5 of the samples so far. the mushroom and tantric rose. i love the rose better lol i cant wait to try the rest and then order more of the ones i love the most. drinking the cacao is a beautiful way to start the day with stillness and intention. this goddess loves it so far and cant wait to try the other ones that were not included in the sample pack

I am really enjoying the Thriving Tanzania cacao! Has a nice carmel-y taste and is great when I want to study or focus in on something. I mix it in alittle organic cinnamon and maple syrup with almond milk = wonderful blissful feeling...how I imagine Africa to feel...alive!

I enjoy the flavor, and it does have a nice feel to it, but not really on par with other ceremonial cacaos that I have tried. I suspect that the processing that results in proper bricks of ceremonial cacao and the process that results in the little discs is a bit different.
They melt differently, and the effects are different.
This is good for hiking, and social stuff, but not much of an aid to meditation or ceremonial practice, IME.

I love this cacao that’s why I keep coming back to it. I use it for group ceremony and my own daily cacao. It’s the creamiest and fattiest. It’s a delight.

I love my cacao ceremonies which started out as once a week and are now daily. Cacao holds a beautiful supportive space for me and suggests a different focus each time. I find I cycle on my favorite cacao flavor. Right now I am finding Tantric Rose, Glowing Guatemala, and Bountiful Belize all very supportive.
