After trying the sampler pack, I landed on the Oaxacan Spice. The spice adds interest while not overpowering the earthiness of the cacao. It's a nice change for the afternoon instead of coffee. I will be buying this on a regular basis.

I used to go to church to feel the love of God and to take communion in remembrance of how we are all one. I think God left the church before I did. In “His” absence, the church began to bicker, fight and backstab. They divided and started suing each other over property. I felt like a child in a dysfunctional family, so I ran away. I soon learned that I did not run away from “Him”. I ran to Spirit. I find Spirit in thin places in nature, such as the woods, waterfalls, mountaintops or my own backyard. Thin places are where Heaven and Earth are close together. This cacao ritual reminds me of this communion. I drink cacao to remember that I came from the earth and to the earth I will return. I like thanking Spirit for the last week’s blessing and setting my intention for the next week. When I return to earth, I hope my life was a blessing and that I leave making a positive difference in the universe. I like drinking cacao without sweeteners, because it seems more pure. I use an antique Frankoma Aztec mug to drink my cacao to remind me who gave us this gift.

I was very glad to try my cacao for the first time after receiving it a few days ago. I was hoping to find an alternative to coffee that I have been drinking for far too long. The flavor is beautiful and satisfying in a way I had not anticipated. Thanks for this amazing addition to my daily routine, it’s fantastic!

This flavor and energy is my favorite way to start the day. I blend it with walnut milk and sprinkle a little bit of black pepper on top, sometimes I will put a little bit of it. You can definitely feel the difference!
