  The ability to seek scholarships that are not normally available to me. I am a 19-year-old GED graduate living in central Alabama. I am white and my parents made enough income to not be considered for any suitable college aide. Yet, they still cannot afford for me to attend. And I already have a personal loan out, and I know that student loans will put me in debt for most of my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for scholarships not normally available to someone in my position.
